F1: Formula 1 unveils 2026 Calendar with Madrid set to host new Grand Prix

Spain is set to host two Formula 1 Grands Prix in 2026, with a new race in Madrid joining the existing event in Barcelona, as announced by organizers on Tuesday regarding the calendar for a season that may introduce significant changes to the grid.

The 2026 season will commence for the second consecutive year in Australia at the Albert Park street circuit in Melbourne from March 6-8.
The race in Madrid, the capital of Spain, is scheduled for September 11-13 and will conclude the European portion of the season.

The new circuit in Madrid will feature both street and non-street sections.
The 24-weekend season will once again finish in Abu Dhabi, taking place from December 4-6.

Montreal, Canada, will now follow Miami in May to reduce travel for the teams.
The 2026 season is expected to present a dramatically different landscape with Cadillac joining as the 11th team on the grid, alongside sweeping new regulations concerning aerodynamics and power units.

Mohammed Ben Sulayem, president of motorsport's governing body, the FIA, said: "Next year's FIA Formula 1 World Championship marks a significant new chapter for our sport.

"A new race, new teams, and the arrival of new manufacturers, all ushering in a fresh era of innovation and competition."
