Fever cruise past Storm 95-75 to climb up to 6th in the WNBA standings

With this win, Indiana (20-18) surpassed Seattle (20-19) and Golden State (19-18) to secure the sixth position in the WNBA standings, with six games left in the regular season. The top eight teams qualify for the playoffs.

Kelsey Mitchell added 21 points, and Lexie Hull secured nine rebounds, assisting the Fever in dominating the boards against the Storm with a 42-21 advantage.

Caitlin Clark, suffering from a right groin injury, missed her 16th consecutive game. She has not participated in any games or practices since her injury on July 15. Nevertheless, she did take part in Indiana’s pregame shoot around on Sunday in Minnesota.

For Seattle, Nneka Ogwumike scored 12 of her 17 points in the first half, as the team saw its three-game winning streak come to an end. Brittney Sykes contributed 12 points, while Skylar Diggins recorded eight assists.

In the first half, Mitchell scored 16 points, Boston added 11, and Sims contributed 10, helping to establish a 50-39 lead. The Fever shot 6 of 11 from beyond the arc in the first half, finishing the game with a 6 for 17 performance from three-point range.

The Fever commenced the third quarter with a 14-4 run, featuring seven points from Boston, which increased their lead to 64-43. By the fourth quarter, Indiana had scored 15 of the first 18 points, extending their lead to 89-59.
