FIFA signs four year worldwide partnership deal with Saudi Aramco

FIFA recently announced a significant partnership with Saudi Aramco, a leading oil and gas company, set to continue until the end of 2027.

This four-year agreement establishes Aramco as a global partner of FIFA, extending to major tournaments such as the World Cup 2026 and the Women's World Cup 2027.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino expressed his enthusiasm, stating that the partnership will aid in the successful delivery of FIFA's flagship tournaments and provide enhanced support to its 211 member associations worldwide.

Saudi Arabia has been actively investing in various sports globally, including football, golf, motorsports, and martial arts. Sports play a vital role in the country's Vision 2030 economic diversification plan, which aims to create new industries and generate employment opportunities.

Aramco, a state-owned company, is deeply involved in sports, owning the Saudi second-tier side Al Qadisiya and constructing a stadium in Dammam. This stadium is set to host matches during the 2027 Asian Cup and potentially the 2034 World Cup, for which Saudi Arabia is a strong candidate to host.

Aramco's president and CEO, Amin H. Nasser, highlighted the company's commitment to football development through this partnership with FIFA, aiming to leverage the power of sport to make a positive impact globally.
