Fiorentina 2-2 AS Roma: Late Llorente strike rescues draw for Roma away at Fiorentina

AS Roma drew 2-2 at Fiorentina on Sunday, with a late goal from Diego Llorente securing a crucial point in the Serie A top-four race.

Llorente was in the right spot five minutes into stoppage time when a cross was nodded down for him to volley into the far corner.

The result moved Roma into fifth place in the standings with 48 points, three points behind Bologna, who hold the fourth and final automatic Champions League qualification spot. Fiorentina are eighth with 43 points, eight behind Bologna.

Luca Ranieri put Fiorentina ahead after 18 minutes by getting just ahead of his marker and heading in a flicked corner inside the far post. Roma, however, equalised in the 58th minute through Houssem Aouar's close-range header.

Fiorentina went ahead again in the 69th minute when Rolando Mandragora was played free inside the box and scored from close range, but Llorente silenced the home fans in stoppage time.
