Ghana's Partey and Lamptey miss out on Cup of Nations finals

Partey's exclusion from the squad is due to his ongoing recovery from a hamstring injury, according to Ghana coach Chris Hughton.

Despite acknowledging Partey's quality as a player, Hughton emphasized the significance of the injury and the need to provide him with the necessary support during this period.

On the other hand, Lamptey's injury, sustained while playing for Brighton & Hove Albion, was described by manager Roberto de Zerbi as requiring a significant amount of time for recovery.

Ghana's squad includes Andre Ayew, who will be participating in his eighth Cup of Nations tournament, a record-equalling achievement.

The team will be competing in Group B, facing Cape Verde, Egypt, and Mozambique in their upcoming matches.

The Ghana squad consists of goalkeepers Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Richard Ofori, and Joe Wollacott.
