Girona responded well after losing an away match to RCD Mallorca by defeating CA Osasuna 2-0 at home, securing their position in second place in LaLiga and achieving their third straight clean sheet at home.

Girona initiated the match with a clear purpose, aiming to break the deadlock within the first 15 minutes at a wet Estadi Montilivi.
