Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson to miss playoffs with torn ACL

The Green Bay Packers faced a significant setback prior to their wildcard playoff matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, as wide receiver Christian Watson (25) has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Watson, who recorded 29 receptions for 620 yards and two touchdowns during the regular season, sustained a knee injury in the recent loss to the Chicago Bears.
According to media reports, Watson has torn an ACL ligament in his knee, a fact that was confirmed by head coach Matt LaFleur during a press conference on Monday.
"Yes, it is unfortunate. He will be out for the season," LaFleur stated.
"This is a substantial loss. His mere presence on the field is invaluable. He possesses remarkable versatility, allowing him to excel in various positions."
"Clearly, his combination of size and speed is difficult to replicate. Few players in the league share his physical attributes. My heart goes out to him, and I feel for our team, but my primary concern is for him," he added.
Additionally, quarterback Jordan Love was also substituted during the game due to an elbow injury, while his backup, Malik Willis, experienced some discomfort. However, LaFleur expressed optimism regarding their conditions.
"I have spoken with both players, and they appear to be doing well," he remarked.
"Regarding their participation in practice, I believe they will be fine, but we will assess their status over the next couple of days," he concluded.
