Harry Kane Ends Goal Drought with Hat-Trick in Bayern's 4-0 Win Over Stuttgart

Harry Kane ended his brief goal drought in emphatic fashion, netting a hat trick to help Bayern Munich secure a dominant 4-0 win over Stuttgart in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
After going four games without scoring — three for Bayern and one for England — Kane silenced critics with a spectacular long-range strike in the 57th minute, breaking the deadlock. He doubled his tally just four minutes later, pouncing on a rebound after Stuttgart goalkeeper Alexander Nübel saved his initial shot. Kane completed his hat trick in the 80th minute, finishing off the rebound from João Palhinha's effort to cap off a brilliant personal performance.
“As a striker, sometimes there’s a lot of talk when you go a little spell without scoring,” Kane said after the match. “That’s just part and parcel of being a striker. You can’t get too high or too low. I believe in myself and my ability. I believe in my teammates who create chances.”
Kane's three goals took his season tally to eight in the Bundesliga, putting him just one goal behind league top scorer Omar Marmoush of Eintracht Frankfurt.
Bayern coach Vincent Kompany praised Kane’s overall contribution: “Today, three goals, but very important, he also helped us not concede.”
Kingsley Coman added Bayern's fourth with a beautiful curling shot into the far post, rounding off a comfortable victory.
Controversy in Leverkusen's Win Over Frankfurt
Elsewhere in the Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen edged past in-form Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1, but the match was marred by controversy after Frankfurt’s protests over a missed penalty in stoppage time went unheeded.

Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitiké was seemingly fouled by Jonathan Tah as he attempted to head the ball into an empty net following a mix-up between Leverkusen's goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky and Tah. However, referee Felix Brych did not award a penalty, and there was no VAR intervention, leaving Frankfurt coach Dino Toppmöller furious.
“It’s a clear foul. The guys are dejected and angry in the locker room,” Toppmöller said. Ekitiké added, “Foul. Red card. Penalty. I am alone. In front of the goal. It’s crazy.”
Victor Boniface’s 72nd-minute header ultimately proved decisive for Leverkusen, after Frankfurt’s Marmoush had earlier scored from the penalty spot. Marmoush now leads the Bundesliga scoring charts with nine goals in seven games.
