I could leave if England don't win Euro 2024 - Gareth Southgate

Gareth Southgate, the manager of the England national team, has expressed that the upcoming European Championship in Germany may be his final opportunity to secure a major trophy for his country.
Southgate has been at the helm of the Three Lions since 2016 and has achieved notable success, leading England to the final of Euro 2020 and securing a third-place finish in the Nations League in 2019.
Despite rumors linking him to Manchester United, the former Middlesbrough coach has affirmed his complete focus on the national team. However, his contract with England is set to expire in December.
In an interview with German newspaper BILD, Southgate stated, "If we don't win, I probably won't be here anymore. Then it might be the last chance." He acknowledged that it is common for national team coaches to depart after a tournament, emphasizing the nature of international football.
Having been in his position for nearly eight years, Southgate understands the importance of delivering results. He recognizes that continually asking for more from the public without tangible success can erode faith in his leadership. Aspires to be a top coach and lead a great team, he believes that delivering in crucial moments is imperative.
England will commence their Group C campaign against Serbia on Sunday, followed by matches against Denmark and Slovenia.
