Inter Milan and Simone Inzaghi eager for another shot at Bayern Munich

Inter Milan secured a place in the Champions League quarter-finals against Bayern Munich following their triumph over Feyenoord on Tuesday. Manager Simone Inzaghi is eager to confront the German team once more, aiming to achieve his first victory against them.
Inzaghi has encountered Bayern in this competition on four occasions—twice while managing Inter and twice with Lazio—yet he has been unsuccessful in all four encounters.
Additionally, a yellow card issued to Inter midfielder Kristjan Asllani during the 2-1 second-leg victory over Feyenoord will result in a suspension. The team is also grappling with injuries affecting Matteo Darmian, Federico Dimarco, Piotr Zielinski, and Nicola Zalewski.
"It will be a complicated match. I met Bayern with Inter and Lazio," Inzaghi told Sky Sports ahead of next month's clash.
"We will go for it, as we have done so far. We hope to have everyone available, I'm sorry for Asllani's yellow card.
"Two from the youth team came on, they will also help us because at the moment we are short on players."
Inter's substantial advantage over Feyenoord, following their 2-0 victory in the first leg, enabled Inzaghi to introduce 18-year-old defender Matteo Cocchi and 19-year-old midfielder Thomas Berenbruch late in the match for their first appearances at the senior level.
Both players are members of the Inter squad that triumphed over Bayern to secure a place in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Youth League.
"There is work behind this, done very well. They are guys who work well, they are having a great Youth League and they earned this occasion with work," Inzaghi said.
Inter also experienced the loss of defender Stefan de Vrij due to injury during the warm-up, allowing Dutchman Denzel Dumfries the opportunity to don the captain's armband for the first time.
"I'm proud, a special moment for me. First time captain at Inter, I'm happy," Dumfries said. "It was a special evening, but I think De Vrij will recover quickly; he is a great player."
