Jabeur ends Tauson's run to reach French Open quarters

Tunisia's Ons Jabeur secured her spot in the French Open quarter-finals for the second time with a hard-fought 6-4, 6-4 victory over Denmark's Clara Tauson (21) on Sunday.

Despite facing a tough challenge, Jabeur managed to break Tauson's service early on and held her ground to claim the first set.

In the second set, Jabeur took an early lead but had to wait until the fifth game to break Tauson again.

Tauson, who had defeated strong opponents in previous rounds, made a valiant effort to level the score in the 10th game, but Jabeur maintained control and sealed the victory in just over an hour and a half.

After the match, Jabeur celebrated with her fans by singing along and expressing her joy. Looking ahead, Jabeur will face world number three Coco Gauff in what promises to be a challenging match.

Jabeur acknowledged Gauff's fighting spirit but expressed confidence in her own ability to give her opponent a tough time on the court.
