Jadon Sancho joins Chelsea on loan with obligation to buy from Manchester United

Chelsea has secured the services of English winger Jadon Sancho (24) from Manchester United on a season-long loan agreement, as reported by British media on Saturday.
Sancho's transfer to Chelsea was finalized on the last day of the transfer window, with a deal sheet submitted to the Premier League after the 11 p.m. deadline had elapsed.
According to the BBC, Chelsea is obligated to make the transfer permanent for a fee ranging between 20 million and 25 million pounds ($59.1 million).
Sancho initially joined United in 2021 from Borussia Dortmund on a five-year contract; however, he experienced a public dispute with manager Erik ten Hag last year, which resulted in a loan return to Dortmund in January of this year until the season's conclusion.
He made a substitute appearance during United's penalty shootout loss to Manchester City in the Community Shield earlier this month but was omitted from Ten Hag's squad for the first two league matches.
During his time at United, Sancho made 83 appearances, netting 12 goals, and has represented England 23 times. Notably, he was among the players who missed a penalty in the Euro 2020 final shootout, which England lost to Italy.
Chelsea's next league match is against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
