Joaquin Niemann wins 2025 LIV Golf Virginia, enters US Open

Call it a statement. Call it dominance. Call it four titles in just eight events — because Joaquin Niemann is on fire.

The Chilean sensation continued his electric 2025 season by winning the LIV Golf Virginia event on Sunday at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, securing his fourth individual title of the year and first-ever LIV win on U.S. soil. With a blistering 8-under 63 in the final round — capped by birdies on four of his final five holes — Niemann edged out Graeme McDowell and Anirban Lahiri by a single shot to take home the $4 million prize.

2025 LIV Golf: Niemann's Domination Continues

Niemann’s wins this season:

  • Adelaide
  • Hong Kong
  • Mexico City
  • Virginia

With this victory, he now holds the most individual wins in LIV Golf history (6), surpassing Brooks Koepka and cementing his place as the league’s most dominant player to date.

I felt like I was just behind all day,” said Niemann. “The only word I kept telling myself was faith — just have faith, keep the attitude good, and wait for the moment.”

Chilean Charging into the U.S. Open

The timing couldn’t be better. Thanks to a new USGA exemption for LIV Golf players, Niemann secured his place at Oakmont earlier this season — and now heads into the 2025 U.S. Open riding a wave of confidence.

Fresh off his first career top-10 finish in a major (T-8 at the PGA Championship), he’ll be a name to watch at one of golf’s toughest tests.

It’s going to be a great course, pretty tough conditions,” Niemann said. “I’m just looking forward to the challenge and a fun week.”

Storm Delays, Star-Studded Field

Despite two separate weather delays, Niemann held his nerve. Noteworthy highlights from the final round include:

  • Ben Campbell and Lee Westwood shooting the day’s best rounds (62)
  • Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau, and Bubba Watson finishing T-4
  • Jon Rahm earning his 21st LIV top-10 finish, continuing a consistent run despite a WD in Houston last season

Crushers GC Go Back-to-Back

In the team competition, Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC captured their second consecutive title, outlasting Dustin Johnson’s 4 Aces GC by two shots.
