Jorginho targets silverware after signing new Arsenal deal

Arsenal's midfielder Jorginho (32) has recently agreed to a contract extension, reportedly for a duration of one year. His main objective now is to secure silverware with the Gunners.
Jorginho, who previously played for London rivals Chelsea, joined Arsenal in January 2023 on an 18-month deal. Since then, he has become an integral part of Mikel Arteta's squad, which is currently competing for the Premier League title.
Throughout this season, Jorginho has made 35 appearances across various competitions. He scored his only goal in a Champions League victory against Lens.
With just two games remaining, Arsenal currently sits at the top of the Premier League table, holding a one-point lead over reigning champions Manchester City, who have a game in hand.
Having already achieved success in winning the Champions League, Europa League, and European Championship, Jorginho is eager to add more trophies to his collection.
When asked about his aspirations for the future following the contract extension, Jorginho expressed his desire to win as much as possible and emphasized the importance of enjoying the moment. He believes that being happy and fulfilled in his current environment is crucial for success.
Mikel Arteta, Arsenal's manager, expressed his delight at Jorginho's decision to extend his contract. He praised the midfielder for his leadership skills, unique playing style, and the positive impact he has on his teammates.
Arsenal's upcoming matches include a clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, followed by a home game against Everton on May 19th, which marks the final day of the season.
