Joshua downs Wallin after five rounds in heavyweight clash, Parker overpowers Wilder

Anthony Joshua, the former world heavyweight champion at the age of 34, demonstrated his superior strength against Otto Wallin, aged 33, by securing a technical knockout victory after five rounds in their non-title bout held in Riyadh on Saturday.

Joshua's controlled aggression resulted in Wallin's first defeat within the distance, prompting his corner to withdraw him from the one-sided contest after the fifth round.

This victory marked Joshua's third win of the year, following his unanimous decision against Jermaine Franklin Jr. in April and his seventh-round stoppage of Robert Helenius in August.

With this triumph, Joshua's professional record now stands at 27 wins and three losses. From the start, Joshua dominated the fight, causing Wallin's nose to bleed in the first round.

In another match on the same bill, Joseph Parker, who had previously been defeated by Joshua in a title fight, secured a unanimous points decision win against former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.

Parker, the former World Boxing Organisation titleholder, displayed superior strength and skill as he convincingly defeated Wilder, who had been inactive for over two years.

Known for his powerful punches, Wilder had engaged in a series of intense bouts with current WBC champion Tyson Fury, drawing the first and losing the next two.

However, Wilder's lack of activity seemed to work against him, as Parker landed cleaner punches and delivered several impactful roundhouse rights.

Although Wilder briefly rallied in the eighth round, Parker responded with a series of significant blows, ultimately securing a comprehensive victory.
