Juventus 2-2 Fiorentina: Juve draw again as La Viola secure hard-fought point

Juventus extended their unbeaten streak in Serie A to 18 matches, yet they were held to a frustrating 2-2 draw against Fiorentina at the Allianz Stadium, missing the opportunity for a third consecutive victory across all competitions.
With both teams locked on 31 points, positioned fifth and sixth respectively, the match was pivotal for their aspirations of securing a top-four finish. However, the initial moments were marred by disruptive chants from the crowd.
In spite of the tumult, Thiago Motta’s team quickly intensified their efforts and took the lead midway through the first half. Khéphren Thuram emerged as the standout player, executing a remarkable solo run into the box and surprising David De Gea with a powerful shot into the near post, aided by a slight deflection from Luca Ranieri.
Contrary to expectations, Raffaele Palladino’s squad responded assertively before halftime, with Moise Kean equalizing against his former team with precision, directing Yacine Adli’s exquisite cross past a helpless Michele Di Gregorio.
De Gea then showcased his exceptional skills by making a stunning save to thwart Dušan Vlahović from close range shortly thereafter, while Manuel Locatelli’s fierce half-volley narrowly missed the left post as the first half concluded.
The Bianconeri wasted no time in reclaiming the lead after the interval, scoring in the 49th minute when Thuram capitalized on a deflected pass from Teun Koopmeiners, skillfully placing the ball into the far bottom corner for his second goal of the match.
Palladino responded with a triple substitution with 15 minutes left, seeking to invigorate his team, and soon after, Riccardo Sottil found the net for Fiorentina’s second equalizer with an unstoppable first-time volley from close range, sending the ball into the roof of the net as the match approached its conclusion.
Despite the draw, Juventus stands as one of only two teams to maintain an unbeaten record in Europe’s top five leagues this season, alongside the formidable Paris Saint-Germain. The Bianconeri have justifiably earned their reputation as specialists in draws, with this result marking their 21st draw of the calendar year—only the Perugia team of 1979 has achieved a better record.
On the other hand, Fiorentina, while managing to secure a point, continues to be without a victory in four matches across all competitions, although they have successfully halted a two-game losing streak in the league.
