Kazakhstan Claims First Olympic Medal with Bronze in 10m Mixed Team Shooting

Kazakhstan secured their first medal of the Olympic Games with a bronze in the 10-meter mixed team air rifle event.

The duo of Alexandra Le and Islam Satpayev achieved a surprising victory over Germany's Maximilian Ulbrich and Anna Janssen, outscoring them 17-5 at Chateauroux.

Despite being underdogs with Le ranked 33rd and Satpayev 95th in the world, they triumphed over the higher-ranked German pair. Janssen, the world number one in the event, and Ulbrich, ranked 19th, were favorites but couldn't match the performance of the Kazakh shooters.

This win marks a significant achievement for Kazakhstan, highlighting the skill and determination of Le and Satpayev in the highly competitive field of Olympic shooting.
