Kings defeat Nets 131-118, set franchise record

The Kings enjoyed a successful game against the Nets, with Domantas Sabonis leading the charge by contributing 15 points, 16 rebounds, and nine assists. This victory marked their third consecutive win against the Nets, completing a season sweep from the previous year. Keegan Murray also made an impact with 24 points, while Malik Monk showcased his skills with 21 points and nine assists.

Notably, this was the second time this season that the Kings had three players with seven assists or more. Their teamwork was outstanding, resulting in a team-high total of 38 assists throughout the game. Coach Mike Brown expressed his satisfaction with the team's shooting performance, emphasizing their ability to sink corner 3-point shots and share the ball effectively.

Sacramento's shooting prowess was evident as they made 25 out of 45 shots from beyond the arc, setting a new record for the Kings, surpassing their previous mark of 23. De'Aaron Fox and Trey Lyles led the charge, both hitting five 3-pointers.

Monk, reflecting on the team's performance, compared it to last year, calling it the "best offense in the NBA." Meanwhile, Mikal Bridges stood out for the Nets, contributing 22 points, five assists, and five rebounds. Prior to the game, Brooklyn had been on a hot streak, winning six out of their previous seven games in the Eastern Conference.

Nets coach Jacque Vaughn acknowledged the Kings' aggressive defense, highlighting their ability to disrupt the Nets' offensive flow with deflected balls and turnovers. Despite a late push from the Nets, bringing the score to 110-104 with six minutes remaining, Harrison Barnes responded with a crucial 3-pointer for the Kings, helping them secure the victory.

De'Aaron Fox continued his impressive form from the previous game against the Suns, providing an early spark with a corner 3-pointer in the first quarter. The ball bounced off the rim multiple times before finally sinking in, bringing excitement to the court. Sacramento maintained control throughout the game, limiting Brooklyn to only 18 points in the first quarter and holding an eight-point lead.

Although the Nets managed to close the gap in the second quarter, coming within four points at 71-67 with Cameron Thomas' 3-pointer, they were unable to overcome the Kings' strong performance.
