Lando Norris' F1 title hopes fade following Brazilian Grand Prix

Lando Norris acknowledged that he made several mistakes and attributed his failure to win from pole position on Sunday to bad luck, as Max Verstappen achieved a remarkable victory in the Brazilian Grand Prix.
The McLaren driver finished in sixth place after a performance filled with errors, allowing Red Bull's three-time world champion to move closer to securing a fourth title after starting from 17th on the grid.
Norris began the race 44 points behind Verstappen in the championship after winning Saturday's sprint, but by the end of the day, he was 62 points behind with three Grands Prix and one sprint race left.
Verstappen could secure the title if he finishes ahead of Norris at the Las Vegas Grand Prix on November 24th.
Norris commented, "It was all about losing positions," referring to McLaren's choice to pit him for fresh tires while Red Bull took advantage of a red flag to pit Verstappen.
"We were under the red flag, and the others had a free stop – it was just unfortunate."
He continued, "It was a tough day. I made a few mistakes that cost me against George (Russell) and Charles (Leclerc). I did my best, but sometimes things just don’t go your way."
When asked about Verstappen's performance, Norris said, "He drove well. He had some luck today, but that's how it goes."
"George (Russell) probably felt like he won the race and deserved it more than anyone else, but sometimes luck just isn't on your side."
Norris went off track three times and faced a stewards' investigation after the race for leading into a second formation lap without waiting for a green light.
