Las Vegas Aces Sweep Dallas Wings 64-61, Return to WNBA Finals

Defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces, are heading to the WNBA Finals for the third time in four seasons after securing a 64-61 victory over the Dallas Wings to complete a three-game semifinal sweep.

Despite a solid defensive effort by Dallas to limit A’ja Wilson's offensive impact, the Aces managed to secure the win and advance to the finals. Wilson, who had scored 30 points in each of the previous three games, contributed 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Alysha Clark made a crucial free throw with 1:45 remaining, and Jackie Young sealed the victory with two more free throws in the final 2 seconds. This late-game composure allowed the Aces to secure their place in the finals.

The Aces, who had averaged 91.8 points per game in their previous four playoff matches, experienced their lowest point total in a win this season. Despite this, their solid defense and late-game execution proved decisive.

Arike Ogunbowale led the Wings with 18 points but came up short on a game-tying three-pointer as time expired, ending the Wings' scoring drought in the final minutes of the game.

The Las Vegas Aces will face either the New York Liberty or the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA Finals, which are set to begin on October 8th in Las Vegas. The Aces, who set a WNBA record with 34 regular-season wins, are looking to secure back-to-back titles.
