Late Drama at Etihad: Kulusevski's Header Secures 3-3 Draw for Spurs Against Man City

In a nail-biting clash at Etihad Stadium, Dejan Kulusevski's dramatic 90th-minute header salvaged a 3-3 draw for Tottenham against Manchester City. The defending champions led, trailed, and then seemed to secure the win, but Kulusevski's late goal added another twist to an already thrilling encounter, earning Tottenham a captivating draw on Sunday.

City, currently enduring a three-game drawing streak, had its lead established by Jack Grealish in the 81st minute. However, Kulusevski's well-timed header off Brennan Johnson’s cross in the 90th minute sent shockwaves through the stadium, securing a hard-fought point for Spurs.

The match showcased the dynamic nature of football, with City initially falling behind to Son Heung-min's sixth-minute goal. The lead was short-lived as Son unintentionally put the ball into his own net in the ninth minute. Phil Foden then struck for City in the 31st minute, giving them the lead at halftime.

The second half was equally eventful, with Giovani Lo Celso leveling the score at 2-2 in the 69th minute with a curling effort. Substitute Grealish looked to have sealed the victory for City with his 81st-minute goal, only to be thwarted by Kulusevski's late equalizer.

Even after the equalizer, there was more drama as referee Simon Hooper stopped play to award City a free kick, despite Grealish appearing to be running through on goal.

The draw brought an end to Spurs' three-game losing streak and elevated Ange Postecoglou’s team to fifth place. The result leaves City in third place, three points behind league leaders Arsenal.

Guardiola's prediction of an exciting game against the surprise package Spurs certainly came true, emphasizing the unpredictable nature of this Premier League season. Despite facing an injury crisis and a recent losing streak, Postecoglou stuck to his attacking style, showcasing Spurs' resilience and determination on the big stage.
