Leeds Rhinos icon Rob Burrow has passed away at the age of 41. The rugby league star had been diagnosed with motor neurone disease in December 2019 and had been actively involved in raising funds for charities related to the illness.
The club confirmed the news on their official website, expressing their deep sorrow over the loss of the former player.
Burrow's courageous battle against MND had been an inspiration to many, and he peacefully passed away at Pinderfield’s Hospital with his family by his side.
Throughout his career with Leeds Rhinos, he had earned numerous accolades and was highly respected for his unwavering dedication and exceptional performances on the field.
