LIV Golf set to begin 2025 season by playing in Riyadh for first time

LIV Golf, the tour funded by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, will commence its 2025 season in Riyadh, marking the first time the capital city will host the event. The tournament is slated to take place from February 6 to 8 at the Riyadh Golf Club.

In its third season, LIV Golf has previously conducted three events in Saudi Arabia, all held at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club located near Jeddah.

On Tuesday, the tour announced the initial four venues for the 2025 season.

"As we prepare for 2025, LIV Golf is poised for our most ambitious season opener yet," stated LIV Golf commissioner and CEO Greg Norman.

"Since our inception in 2022, LIV Golf has hosted 34 tournaments across nine countries on four continents. We are a global league with an extensive reach, and we are thrilled to launch the next season with four truly international events that will showcase our distinctive combination of elite golf, entertainment, and culture to fans worldwide."

Following the Riyadh event, the tour will proceed to the Grange Golf Club in Adelaide, Australia. Talor Gooch triumphed at the Adelaide event in 2023, while Brendan Steele claimed victory this year, attracting over 94,000 attendees.

LIV Golf Hong Kong is set for March 7-9. This year marked the tour's inaugural event at the Hong Kong Golf Club, where Mexico's Abraham Ancer emerged victorious.

The subsequent week, LIV Golf Singapore will return to Sentosa Golf Club for the third consecutive year. Gooch won the event in 2023, and Brooks Koepka secured the win in Singapore this year.

Two events remain on the 2024 schedule. LIV Golf Chicago is planned for September 13-15 at Bolingbrook Golf Club in Illinois, and the LIV Golf Team Championship Dallas will take place at Maridoe Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas, from September 20-22.
