Liverpool 4-2 Tottenham: Reds return to winning ways as Spurs top four hopes take another blow

Liverpool bounced back to winning form in Jurgen Klopp's second-to-last match at Anfield, securing a 4-2 triumph over Tottenham Hotspur. Despite the visitors' valiant effort to stage a comeback, the Reds maintained their dominance with only two losses in 32 home Premier League encounters against Spurs.
Both teams were eager to make a strong start following recent disappointing performances. Spurs showed promise early on but struggled defensively, with Mohamed Salah hitting the crossbar and forcing a save from Guglielmo Vicario. Cristian Romero's block denied Harvey Elliott's follow-up attempt.
Salah scored just 16 minutes into the game, finding the net with a header despite Vicario's touch. The Reds took control, with Luis Diaz almost setting up Salah and Emerson Royal making a crucial block to deny Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Andrew Robertson then assisted Salah for a goal, scoring his second consecutive goal after previously only scoring once all season. Emerson and Romero clashed before half-time, and things didn't improve for them after the break.
Elliott dispossessed Emerson, setting up Gakpo for a goal, his 15th of the season across all competitions.
Alisson Becker made an impressive save to deny Brennan Johnson's powerful header, while Vicario had no chance as Elliott beautifully curled a strike into the top corner at the 60-minute mark.
In the 72nd minute, Richarlison pulled one back by skillfully converting Johnson's cross into a goal. He then unselfishly passed the ball to Heung-min Son, who scored five minutes later, causing some doubts for the opposition.
Richarlison had another opportunity but was stopped by Alisson, and Joe Gomez cleared the ball ahead of Johnson, ensuring Liverpool's victory and their first win in three matches.
On the other hand, Tottenham Hotspur suffered their fourth consecutive Premier League defeat, a feat they haven't experienced since November 2004. They conceded a total of 13 goals during this unfortunate run.
