Mohamed Salah and Fabio Carvalho each found the back of the net in the first half to secure a 2-1 victory for Liverpool against Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Chelsea had a comfortable win and Manchester United narrowly defeated Real Betis in their pre-season matches.

In other friendly matches in the United States, Chelsea defeated Club America 3-0, AC Milan triumphed over Real Madrid 1-0, and Manchester United secured a 3-2 win against Real Betis.

Salah opened the scoring for Liverpool in the 13th minute, while Carvalho doubled their lead in the 34th minute. Havertz managed to pull one back for Arsenal before the end of the first half.

The second half remained goalless, sealing the victory for Liverpool under the management of Arne Slot. Arsenal's new signing, Riccardo Calafiori, did not feature in the match.

Real Betis took an early lead against Manchester United with Iker Losada's goal, but Marcus Rashford equalized from the penalty spot after a foul on Amad Diallo by Romain Perraud.

Diallo scored for the Old Trafford club in the 24th minute, followed by Casemiro's left-footed strike in the 31st minute off a pass from Rashford, giving them a 3-1 lead at half-time.

Diego Llorente managed to pull one back for Betis with a header in the 61st minute.

Meanwhile, in Atlanta, Chelsea's Christopher Nkunku converted a penalty in the third minute to start them off against their Mexican club opponents.

Marc Guiu, an 18-year-old Spaniard, scored the second goal with a header in the 21st minute.

Noni Madueke sealed Chelsea's 3-0 win with a second penalty in the 79th minute.
