LSU, UCLA, and Jordan Chiles Headline 2025 NCAA Gymnastics Championships Semifinals

The battle for the 2025 NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championship is officially underway, with eight elite teams vying for the coveted national title in Fort Worth, Texas. Defending champions LSU Tigers, led by all-around star Haleigh Bryant, are seeking a back-to-back victory, while programs like UCLA, Florida, and Oklahoma are eyeing the crown.
The semifinal round kicks off Thursday, with two high-stakes sessions determining which four teams will move on to Saturday’s NCAA team final.
LSU Leads Star-Powered Second Semifinal
After capturing their first national title in 2024, top-seeded LSU will face a tough semifinal draw against:
- No. 4 Utah

Haleigh Bryant, LSU’s 2024 NCAA all-around champion, returns to defend her title, as well as her co-champion vault crown. She’ll need to fend off challengers like:
- Jade Carey (Oregon State) – 2020 Olympic gold medalist
- Joscelyn Roberson (Arkansas)
- Madison Ulrich (Denver)
- Mary McDonough (Washington)
- And top contenders from within team qualifiers, including UCLA’s Jordan Chiles
"Bryant will also defend her shared 2024 vault title, though her co-champion on that event, Cal's Mya Lauzon, will instead compete for beam and floor hardware this week."
Chiles, who helped the U.S. claim team silver at the Tokyo Olympics, is seeking to lead UCLA gymnastics to its first NCAA championship since 2018.
