Luton Town 1-2 Manchester City: Citizens come from behind to claim first victory in five games

City entered the match aiming to secure their first league victory since November 4, following a period of poor form. Despite missing Erling Haaland due to injury, the Cityzens started positively against Luton, with Phil Foden forcing Thomas Kaminski into action early on. Bernardo Silva then narrowly missed the target with the rebound.

Rodri, back in the team after serving a one-match suspension, threatened with a powerful long-range shot that was well saved by Kaminski. Luton's determined goalkeeper produced his best save of the first half, diving low to deny Foden's strike in the 27th minute.

Although Luton offered little in attack for most of the first half, they dealt a significant blow to the European champions in stoppage time. Andros Townend's cross found Elijah Adebayo at the far post, who headed home to spark jubilation at Kenilworth Road.

After a setback before halftime, the Premier League title holders responded emphatically following Pep Guardiola's halftime team talk. Ruben Dias hit the woodwork before City stunned their hosts with two goals in three minutes to complete a remarkable comeback.

First, Bernardo Silva curled a precise shot into the bottom corner, and then Jack Grealish scored from Julian Alvarez's low cross, marking his 50th senior goal in club football.

With Luton unable to find an equalizer, City celebrated a victory that extended their unbeaten record in meetings with Luton to 10 matches. Despite the win, City finished the day in fourth place, four points behind the league leaders, while Luton remained in the relegation zone.
