Malik Monk delivers in OT as Kings defeat Lakers 132-127

Malik Monk saved 11 of his 22 points for overtime, Kevin Huerter hit a clutch 3-pointer with 32 seconds left, and the Sacramento Kings defeated the visiting Los Angeles Lakers 132-127 on Sunday night.
De'Aaron Fox led the Kings with 37 points as they overcame Domantas Sabonis' fouling out and a late surge by LeBron James.
Fox's 37 points came just two days after he had 39 against Golden State. He also had a team-high eight assists on Sunday.
Monk had two 3-pointers, a three-point play, and two free throws in the extra five minutes, the free throws coming with 15.2 seconds left to clinch the win after James made his third basket of overtime to pull the Lakers within 130-127 with 23.6 seconds left.
James had earlier dunk to cut the deficit to 127-125, but Huerter responded with his third 3-pointer of the game to give Sacramento a two-possession lead.
The Kings had the final shot of regulation after a James layup had tied the game at 115-all with 12.9 seconds left. However, Keegan Murray missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer just before the buzzer, forcing overtime.
Seeking to avenge a home loss to the Golden State Warriors, the Kings used a 41-point first-quarter explosion to take a 13-point lead.
But the Lakers gradually chipped away at the deficit, eventually pulling ahead 91-90 in the second minute of the fourth quarter on a 3-pointer by Rui Hachimura, setting up a nail-biting finish.
Before fouling out, Sabonis had 12 points and a team-high 15 rebounds, while Murray had 17, Huerter had 12, and Sasha Vezenkov had 11.
Both Anthony Davis and LeBron James had double-doubles for the Lakers, who fell to 1-2. Davis had a game-high 16 rebounds and a team-high 30 points, while James had 27 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists.
