Man United agree to sell Garnacho to Chelsea for £40m

Manchester United have reached an agreement to sell Argentine winger Alejandro Garnacho to Chelsea in a £40 million ($54 million) deal, a source close to the club confirmed on Thursday.
The 21-year-old’s transfer marks the fourth-highest sale in United’s history, behind Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku and Angel Di Maria. Garnacho made 93 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils before pushing for an exit this summer.
He was one of five players seeking to leave Old Trafford, alongside Marcus Rashford, Antony, Tyrell Malacia and Jadon Sancho. Rashford already sealed a loan move to Barcelona last month.
United manager Ruben Amorim had omitted Garnacho from his squad this season, with the team struggling for form after failing to win their opening two Premier League games and suffering a League Cup exit on penalties to fourth-tier Grimsby Town.
Chelsea will look to integrate Garnacho quickly as they prepare to host Fulham in the Premier League on Friday.
