The Croatian midfielder then added a second after the break, striking a composed shot into the far corner following a well-timed pass from Bernardo Silva. City seemed to be in control when substitute Jeremy Doku added a third, cutting inside and smashing the ball past Leno to make it 3-1.

However, Fulham refused to go down quietly. Rodrigo Muniz pulled one back in the 88th minute, setting up a tense period of stoppage time as Fulham pushed for an equalizer. Despite their late surge, City held on to secure the win.
