Manchester United's Director of Football John Murtough to step down after 11 years

Manchester United announced on Tuesday that John Murtough will be stepping down from his role as Football Director after serving the club for almost 11 years.

Co-chairman Joel Glazer stated that it was a mutual decision for John to step aside and make way for the new football leadership structure to be established.

This development follows the recent acquisition of a 25% stake in the Premier League club by British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, while the majority stake continues to be held by the American Glazer family.
