Manny Pacquiao in talks over comeback

Manny Pacquiao, the boxing legend, revealed on Monday that he is currently in negotiations for a potential comeback. However, he emphasized that a world title fight against Mario Barrios is still a long way off.
The Filipino multiple world champion retired from the sport in 2021 and later attempted an unsuccessful run for the presidency of his country.
Despite this, he has agreed to participate in a three-round exhibition match against Japanese MMA fighter Chihiro Suzuki in Saitama next month.
While Pacquiao confirmed talks about facing Barrios for the WBC welterweight world title, he stressed that the fight is not yet finalized. He mentioned that negotiations are ongoing and projected the potential bout to take place in November or December.
In February, Pacquiao conceded defeat in his quest to compete in the Paris Olympics after the IOC rejected his request due to the age limit of 40 for Olympic boxers.
Following his loss to Yordenis Ugas in Las Vegas, Pacquiao retired from professional boxing.
Despite his retirement, Pacquiao returned to the ring for an exhibition match against a South Korean YouTuber in Seoul in December 2022. He is now gearing up to face Suzuki in a 68kg boxing match on July 28, aiming for a knockout victory.
Pacquiao emphasized that this upcoming fight is not an exhibition but a serious competition where he will give his all to secure a knockout win.
