Marcelino returns as Villarreal Manager

Villarreal Football Club has officially appointed Marcelino as their new manager, marking the conclusion of Jose Rojo Martin's brief tenure, which lasted only two months, the club announced on Monday.
The departure of Rojo Martin, also known as 'Pacheta,' was confirmed last Friday. In the wake of his exit, Director of Football Miguel Angel Tena took charge of the team during their recent 3-1 defeat against Atletico Madrid on Sunday.
Marcelino, who previously managed Villarreal from 2013 to 2016, has returned to take the helm once again. The 58-year-old tactician has inked a contract that extends until 2026. During his earlier stint with the club, Marcelino played a pivotal role in elevating Villarreal to the Spanish top flight.
In his previous managerial role at Villarreal, Marcelino orchestrated three top-six finishes and led the team to the semifinals of the Europa League in his final season, showcasing his ability to achieve notable success at the highest levels of competition.
Prior to rejoining Villarreal, Marcelino's coaching experience extended to Ligue 1, where he last managed Olympique de Marseille.
As of now, Villarreal finds themselves in the 14th position in LaLiga, having accumulated 12 points from 13 matches. Their next fixture is scheduled to be a home game against Osasuna, who currently occupy the 12th spot in the league standings, on November 26. The club and its fans will undoubtedly be eager to witness how Marcelino's leadership will shape the team's performance and prospects in the upcoming challenges.
