Minnesota Timberwolves' Julius Randle sidelined for two weeks with adductor injury

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Julius Randle (30) is expected to be sidelined for the next two weeks following an MRI that confirmed a right adductor strain, as reported by Dr. Benjamin Domb of the American Hip Institute.
The injury took place during the team's game against the Utah Jazz on January 30th, leading to Randle's exit in the second quarter.
This season, Randle has recorded averages of 18.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 4.5 assists over 48 games, contributing to the Timberwolves' current standing of seventh in the Western Conference with a record of 28-23.
Randle was involved in a significant trade earlier this season, which also included former New York Knicks guard Donte DiVincenzo in exchange for former Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns.
A veteran of 11 years, Randle was initially selected seventh overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2014 NBA Draft, where he played for four seasons before moving to New Orleans for the 2018-2019 season.
He subsequently spent five years with the Knicks, earning selections to three All-Star teams, two All-NBA teams, and receiving the Most Improved Player award during his inaugural season with the franchise (2020-2021).
