In the final moments of the game, Will Benson managed to equalize the score with an impressive two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning.

Adding to the excitement, Christian Encarnacion-Strand swiftly followed with a powerful solo homer to the left, sealing the victory for the Cincinnati Reds.

Their remarkable rally allowed them to narrowly defeat the visiting Washington Nationals with a final score of 6-5 on Sunday.

Jonathan India narrowly avoided defeat with a 10-pitch battle against Nationals closer Kyle Finnegan, hitting a double down the left-field line.

Benson then followed with a home run to left-center, and Encarnacion-Strand broke his 0-for-12 slump with a solo shot.

Cincinnati's Lucas Sims pitched a flawless ninth inning to secure the victory in the series-deciding game.

Jake Fraley and Benson both had three hits for the Reds, with Spencer Steer contributing a 2-for-3 performance with a walk and an RBI. Benson also drove in three runs.

Rookie Trey Lipscomb's first big league home run broke the 3-3 tie in the seventh inning, following CJ Abrams' solo shot for the Nationals in the third.

The Los Angeles Angels defeated the Baltimore Orioles with a score of 4-1. Taylor Ward hit his second home run in two days, while Reid Detmers pitched five strong innings to secure the win and prevent a sweep in the three-game opening series.

Detmers allowed only one run on two hits, striking out seven and walking three. Jose Soriano and Carlos Estevez also contributed to the victory with solid relief pitching and closing out the game.

Tyler Wells pitched six innings for the Orioles, giving up four runs, three of which were earned, on five hits. Despite early struggles, Wells retired the final 13 batters he faced.

The Brewers defeated the Mets with a score of 4-1. Colin Rea, along with two relievers, managed to limit the Mets to seven hits. Rea pitched five innings, allowing only one run on five hits and two walks.

Bryan Hudson pitched three innings, striking out four, while Joel Payamps closed the game with a perfect ninth inning to earn his first save. Willy Adames contributed with two hits, including an RBI single in the first inning.

Tyrone Taylor, a former Brewer, had an RBI single for the Mets in the second inning. Tylor Megill took the loss for the Mets after giving up two runs, one earned, over four innings.
