MLB roundup: Bailey Ober and the Twins hold the Tigers to 1 hit

Bailey Ober limited Detroit to just one hit in eight innings as the Minnesota Twins defeated the Tigers 5-0 on Sunday afternoon.
Ober, with a record of 10-5, recorded two walks and 11 strikeouts in his seventh consecutive quality start. In the ninth inning, Caleb Thielbar managed to work around a walk to secure the shutout.
Minnesota's Willi Castro contributed three hits and two runs, while Manuel Margot added three hits and one run. Matt Wallner chipped in with two hits and an RBI as the Twins won two out of three games in the series.
Detroit's starting pitcher Alex Faedo (5-2) gave up one run on two hits in just one inning. The Tigers' only hit of the game came from Matt Vierling's single in the fourth inning.
The Brewers defeated the Marlins 6-2 as Jake Bauers went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Brice Turang was 2-for-4, contributing both offensively and defensively. Starting pitcher Tobias Myers allowed one run in four innings, while reliever Jakob Junis threw two scoreless innings to secure the win.
Xavier Edwards hit for the cycle for the Marlins, marking the second time in franchise history, and scored both runs. Miami's starter Kyle Tyler gave up four runs in four innings. In another game, the Pirates beat the Diamondbacks 6-5 in 10 innings, with Ke'Bryan Hayes hitting a two-run single in the 10th inning.
Oneil Cruz homered for Pittsburgh, and Aroldis Chapman picked up the win in relief. Eugenio Suarez hit a home run and drove in three runs for Arizona, but reliever Justin Martinez suffered the loss.
The Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Cincinnati Reds 2-1 after scoring two runs in the eighth inning. Jose Caballero scored from third on a wild pitch from Reds reliever Fernando Cruz, and Richie Palacios walked with the bases loaded to force in the go-ahead run.
Garrett Cleavinger pitched a scoreless eighth inning for the win. In another game, the Baltimore Orioles beat the San Diego Padres 8-6, with Cedric Mullins capping a six-run third inning with a two-run double and Ryan Mountcastle driving in four runs.
Cionel Perez pitched a scoreless seventh inning for Baltimore, and Mountcastle added his second two-run single of the game in the eighth to make it 8-5. San Diego starter Randy Vasquez was charged with six runs over two-plus innings.
