MLB roundup: Braves get walk-off win in 10th to sweep series over Marlins

In the bottom of the 10th inning, Michael Harris II (23) delivered a game-winning RBI double, securing a 4-3 victory for the Atlanta Braves against the Miami Marlins.
This hit came off a 0-1 fastball thrown by Tanner Scott (0-4), sailing past center fielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. and allowing Ronald Acuna Jr. to cross home plate as the automatic runner. A.J. Minter (4-1) claimed the win for the Braves by pitching a flawless top of the inning.
With this triumph, the Braves extended their dominance over the Marlins this season to a 5-1 record and maintained a perfect 3-0 record in extra innings.
However, the Marlins managed to tie the score in the ninth inning, scoring two runs against Atlanta's closer, Raisel Iglesias. After the first three batters loaded the bases with singles, Josh Bell hit a powerful grounder that struck Matt Olson's chest and deflected into the camera well. This unfortunate error allowed two runs to score and marked Iglesias's first blown save of the season.
Cardinals 5, Diamondbacks 1
St. Louis secured a victory against Arizona with Lars Nootbaar's two-run double, propelling them to success against the visiting team.
Following their 14-1 defeat against the Cardinals on Tuesday, the Diamondbacks struggled to capitalize on their opportunities, leaving seven runners on base, going 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position, and hitting into three double plays.
Cardinals starting pitcher Kyle Gibson (2-2) showcased an impressive performance, allowing only one run on five hits in six innings. He demonstrated his skill by striking out six batters and walking two.
Mets 8, Giants 2
New York managed to salvage the final game of their three-game series against San Francisco with Francisco Lindor's two two-run home runs.
Lindor had an outstanding game, going 4-for-5 with four RBIs. Tyrone Taylor also contributed significantly, finishing 2-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs. The Mets' offense was further boosted by Jeff McNeil's double and single, resulting in a total of 10 hits.
Although the Giants had a two-game winning streak, it came to an end. Wilmer Flores provided a bright spot for San Francisco with two hits.
Yankees 7, Athletics 3
In a game against Oakland, Aaron Judge's two-run homer in the first inning proved crucial as the Yankees emerged victorious.
Judge's home run, his fourth of the season, came after Oakland's starting pitcher Joe Boyle (1-4) was called for a balk. The balk was called after Boyle threw a called third strike to Judge, who initially began walking back to the dugout before returning to complete the at-bat.
Following the balk, Judge smashed a fastball into the right-field seats, granting the Yankees a 2-0 lead. Anthony Rizzo continued his impressive form by homering for the second consecutive game, and Juan Soto also contributed with a home run. The Yankees secured their fifth win in seven games.
Oakland's Brent Rooker managed to hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning, forcing New York starter Clarke Schmidt (2-0) out of the game. Schmidt allowed three runs on four hits in 5 1/3 innings. Boyle, on the other hand, gave up two runs on three hits in three innings.
