Arizona was on the verge of securing the win in the ninth, but Murphy's 431-foot blast off Paul Sewald changed the game. It was Murphy's fifth homer of the season and marked Sewald's third consecutive blown save.

The Braves, who won their third consecutive game, also saw Austin Riley contribute with a homer. On the other hand, Corbin Carroll had the only run-scoring hit for the Diamondbacks, who managed just four hits. Arizona missed an opportunity to climb above .500 for the first time since April 3.

Minnesota Twins defeated the Chicago White Sox 8-6 in 11 innings as Brooks Lee's RBI single in the 11th inning secured the win. Byron Buxton contributed with three hits for the Twins.

Chicago White Sox initially took a 5-2 lead after rallying for three runs in the sixth inning. However, the Twins fought back in the seventh inning against rookie reliever Jordan Leasure, who allowed four runs and four hits in two-thirds of an inning after being recalled from Triple-A Charlotte.

Jhoan Duran (5-3) earned the win by pitching a scoreless 10th inning, while Kody Funderburk recorded his first career save with a perfect 11th inning.

In another game, the Texas Rangers defeated the Los Angeles Angels 9-4 in Anaheim, California. Corey Seager, Wyatt Langford, and Nathaniel Lowe led the Rangers to victory with strong offensive performances. Marcus Semien also contributed with two hits and a walk for the Rangers, who finished with 12 hits against Angels' pitchers.

Mickey Moniak had a solid game for the Angels with two hits, two runs, and two RBIs, but it wasn't enough as they suffered their seventh loss in eight games. Brandon Drury also added two hits for the Angels.

The Tigers defeated the Guardians with a score of 1-0, thanks to Jake Rogers' run in the eighth inning. Keider Montero pitched a solid game, limiting Cleveland to only three hits in 6 1/3 innings. Detroit extended their winning streak to four games with this victory.

Tyler Holton earned the win, pitching five outs, while Shelby Miller closed the game with a perfect ninth inning to secure his first save. Despite the loss, Angel Martinez stood out with two hits for the Guardians. Gavin Williams, the starting pitcher for Cleveland, delivered 5 1/3 scoreless innings.
