MLB roundup: Dodgers earn walk-off win over D-backs, Orioles edge Mariners

Teoscar Hernandez (31) knocked in three runs, including the game-winning hit in the ninth inning, to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 6-5 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday.
Shohei Ohtani smashed a two-run homer and had three hits, helping the Dodgers bounce back after losing two of three games against San Francisco over the weekend. Hernandez also contributed with three hits.
Christian Walker continued to trouble the Dodgers with a home run, his fifth in seven games against Los Angeles this season, while former Dodger Joc Pederson hit a solo shot in the top of the ninth off Evan Phillips (1-0) to give Arizona a 5-4 lead.
The Dodgers were down to their last out when Will Smith doubled to left center against Paul Sewald (0-1). Freddie Freeman then hit a game-tying double, and two pitches later, Hernandez delivered the game-winning single to left field.
The Baltimore Orioles defeated the Seattle Mariners 2-0 as Grayson Rodriguez pitched 6 1/3 effective innings in the opener of a three-game series between division leaders.
The Orioles, leading the American League East, won for the fifth time in their past six games, while the AL West-leading Mariners dropped their third in a row.
Rodriguez (10-3) allowed just two hits, both by Josh Rojas, and Craig Kimbrel secured his 20th save to complete the two-hitter. Mariners starter George Kirby (7-6) allowed two runs on seven hits over 6 1/3 innings.
The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Colorado Rockies 4-3 after Rhys Hoskins was hit by a pitch with two outs and the bases loaded in the top of the ninth inning to bring in the winning run.
Milwaukee tied the game earlier in the inning with Willy Adames' sacrifice fly off Nick Mears (1-4). Christian Yelich had a double and three hits. Rob Zastryzny (1-0) earned the win in relief, while Trevor Megill struck out two in a scoreless ninth for his 18th save.
Brenton Doyle homered, doubled, and had two RBIs for the Rockies, ending their two-game winning streak.
Philadelphia Phillies defeated the Chicago Cubs 6-4 with Trea Turner going 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBIs. Garrett Stubbs contributed with a two-run double.
Michael Mercado (1-0) allowed one run and two hits in five innings in his first major league start. Seiya Suzuki hit a three-run homer and Cody Bellinger had an RBI double for Chicago. Hayden Wesneski (2-5) gave up five runs and five hits over five innings.
