Angel Martinez broke King's (8-6) no-hit bid with a single to shallow center field in the seventh inning, with San Diego leading 2-0. Martinez later scored on Josh Naylor's groundout.

King allowed two hits and a walk while striking out six batters over seven innings. The right-hander has now given up just one earned run in his last four starts.

The Guardians have managed only three hits in their last two games, following an 11-hit performance in Friday's 7-0 victory. With a record of 8-13 in their last 21 games, the Cleveland Guardians, who lead the American League Central, have scored 17 runs while losing six of their last eight games.

The Seattle Mariners defeated the Houston Astros with a score of 6-4, thanks to home runs from Jorge Polanco and Luke Raley. This victory ended a five-game losing streak for the Mariners and put them in a tie for first place in the AL West.

Right-hander Bryan Woo (4-1) pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on four hits with no walks and five strikeouts. Andres Munoz secured the win with his 16th save of the season, striking out the side in the ninth inning.

Yordan Alvarez hit for the cycle and Jeremy Pena also homered for the Astros, with Alvarez becoming just the second player in the 25-year history of T-Mobile Park to achieve this feat.

The Chicago Cubs defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks 2-1 in 10 innings, with Nico Hoerner scoring the tying run in the ninth and the winning run in the 10th.

Cubs starter Shota Imanaga pitched seven strong innings, allowing only one run and two hits while striking out 10. Eugenio Suarez homered for the Diamondbacks in the seventh inning.

In another game, the Milwaukee Brewers edged out the Minnesota Twins 8-7, thanks to Rhys Hoskins' tiebreaking two-run homer in the eighth inning.

Byron Buxton and Trevor Larnach homered for the Twins, while Brewers' pitcher Jared Koenig earned the win and Trevor Megill secured the save despite giving up two runs in the ninth.

The Brewers defeated the Twins with a score of 8-7 after Rhys Hoskins hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning, securing the win for Milwaukee in Minneapolis. Eric Haase also contributed with two home runs for the Brewers.

On the Twins side, Byron Buxton hit two solo home runs, while Trevor Larnach added a home run and two RBIs. Griffin Jax of Minnesota allowed two runs in one inning.

Jared Koenig of the Brewers earned the win with one scoreless inning of relief, while Trevor Megill secured his 19th save despite giving up two runs in the ninth.
