MLB roundup: Oakland rally in 11th to claim wild win over Rockies

Tyler Soderstrom, the pinch hitter, drew a walk-off walk from Colorado Rockies reliever Peter Lambert in the 11th inning, capping a five-run rally for the Oakland Athletics. The game ended with a 10-9 victory for the hosts on Thursday afternoon.
The Rockies had scored four runs in the top of the 11th, but the A's responded with a strong offensive performance. Max Schuemann, Abraham Toro, and JJ Bleday contributed to the rally with key hits. Lambert, who took over for the Rockies, struggled to close out the game, leading to the A's win.
In another game, the New York Yankees defeated the Seattle Mariners 5-0. Rookie Luis Gil pitched exceptionally well, allowing only one hit in 6 1/3 innings. Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge hit solo home runs to secure the victory for the Yankees.
Padres 6, Reds 4 (10 innings)
Luis Arraez ignited a rally in the 10th inning with his fourth hit of the game, and Fernando Tatis Jr. delivered a crucial double to give San Diego the edge over Cincinnati.
Tatis drove in Luis Campusano, who was placed on second base as the automatic runner, with his double against reliever Sam Moll (0-1). Moll also gave up a sacrifice fly to Jake Cronenworth, contributing to the Padres' two-run 10th inning. Jeremiah Estrada (1-0) of the Padres pitched a scoreless eighth inning and struck out the side in the ninth to secure the victory.
The Reds suffered their eighth consecutive series loss, with Nick Martini hitting a two-run homer and Jeimer Candelario adding an RBI triple.
Giants 7, Pirates 6
Brett Wisely came through with a clutch RBI single in the eighth inning, capping off a five-run inning and propelling San Francisco to a thrilling win against Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh seemed to have control of the rubber match in the three-game series when former Giant Joey Bart smashed a grand slam in the fourth inning. However, San Francisco fought back, with Heliot Ramos hitting a home run in the seventh to narrow the deficit to 5-2. Bryan Reynolds of the Pirates responded with a solo shot in the bottom of the seventh.
In the eighth inning, LaMonte Wade Jr. and Thairo Estrada started the rally with singles against Pittsburgh reliever Hunter Stratton (1-1). Matt Chapman then blasted a three-run homer, bringing the Giants within one run at 6-5. Jorge Soler followed with a double and scored on Wilmer Flores' single. With two outs, Wisely's hit brought in pinch runner Marco Luciano for the go-ahead run.
The Atlanta Braves emerged victorious with a 3-0 win over the Chicago Cubs in the final game of their three-game series. Jarred Kelenic showcased his power with a home run, while the Braves' pitching staff put on an impressive display, limiting the Cubs to just four hits.
Chadwick Tromp contributed with two hits and a run, while Ozzie Albies made his presence felt with a walk, a stolen base, and an RBI. AJ Smith-Shawver, a promising young pitcher, made a strong season debut, allowing only three hits over 4 1/3 scoreless innings.
Raisel Iglesias closed out the game with a flawless ninth inning, securing his 12th save of the season. On the Cubs' side, Seiya Suzuki recorded two hits, and Ian Happ added a double and a stolen base.
However, the Cubs struggled to generate offense, scoring a mere 23 runs in their last ten games, resulting in their seventh loss during that stretch.
