Tanner Houck delivered a three-hit shutout to aid the Boston Red Sox in snapping a two-game losing streak by securing a 2-0 win against the Cleveland Guardians on Wednesday.
Houck (3-1) recorded nine strikeouts and did not issue a single walk. This marked the first complete game of Houck's career and the first time a solo Red Sox pitcher achieved a shutout since Michael Wacha's blanking of the Los Angeles Angels on June 6, 2022.
Remarkably, the game concluded in a mere one hour and 49 minutes.
