MLB roundup: Rookie Jordan Beck helps Rockies win 7th straight game

Colorado recently completed back-to-back series sweeps for the first time since May 27-June 2, 2019, when they took four games from Arizona and three from Toronto at Coors Field.
Additionally, they swept a series in San Diego for the first time since 2013. The Rockies have significantly increased their win total this season from eight to 15 games, boasting the longest active winning streak in the majors.
Gomber (1-2) secured his first victory of the season by dominating San Diego hitters, lowering his ERA to 3.02. In six innings, he allowed only two hits, walked two, and struck out five.
In other games, Adley Rutschman's two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning led Baltimore to a 3-2 victory over Toronto, while Aaron Judge's impressive performance helped the Yankees to a 4-0 shutout win against the Twins. Chicago also emerged victorious with a 7-1 win over the Braves, thanks to Javier Assad's six scoreless innings.
The New York Yankees defeated the Minnesota Twins with a score of 4-0. Aaron Judge had an outstanding performance, going 4-for-4 with three doubles, a home run, and two RBIs.
Anthony Volpe and Giancarlo Stanton also contributed with one run each for the Yankees. This victory marked the second consecutive win for New York against the Twins, and they will aim for a series sweep in their upcoming game on Thursday.
Marcus Stroman of the Yankees pitched an impressive six shutout innings, limiting the Twins to only two hits. On the other side, Edouard Julien hit a double for Minnesota's only extra-base hit, but they were unable to score any runs and were shut out for the second time this season. Pablo Lopez of the Twins gave up three runs on 10 hits in 6 1/3 innings.
The Cubs also had a successful game, defeating the Braves with a score of 7-1. Javier Assad pitched six scoreless innings for Chicago, allowing only four hits and one walk while striking out seven.
The Cubs broke Atlanta's streak of 30 scoreless innings at home by scoring three runs in the first inning. They finished the game with 13 hits, including a home run by Mike Tauchman.
In another game, the Texas Rangers ended their five-game losing streak with a shutout victory over the Cleveland Guardians, winning 4-0. Jon Gray of the Rangers pitched 6 1/3 innings, giving up only four singles.
Adolis Garcia had a great game, hitting a home run and contributing two hits and two RBIs. Marcus Semien also hit a home run for Texas, and Leody Taveras scored a run after hitting a triple.
The Rangers' bullpen performed well, with Kirby Yates striking out the side in the ninth inning and Jose Leclerc and David Robertson allowing only one hit in relief.
Andres Gimenez recorded a pair of hits for Cleveland, but their three-game winning streak came to an end. Carlos Carrasco (2-4) suffered the loss after giving up two runs on five hits in five innings. He issued one walk and struck out three batters.
