NBA issue fines to Rockets coach Udoka, Eason and Sengun for use of foul language

Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka has been fined $50,000, while forward Tari Eason received a $35,000 fine, and center Alperen Sengun was fined $15,000, as announced by the NBA on Thursday.

These fines stemmed from an incident that occurred with 1:52 remaining in the fourth quarter during Houston's 120-111 defeat against Sacramento on Tuesday. The situation resulted in technical fouls and ejections for both Udoka and Sengun.

Udoka's penalty was imposed for confronting an official, using profane language towards a referee, failing to exit the court promptly after his ejection, and for publicly criticizing the officiating during his post-game press conference.

Eason was penalized for throwing a towel and using "inappropriate language" directed at a fan in the stands following the game.

Sengun's fine was due to inappropriate remarks made towards a game official.

Currently, the Rockets hold a record of 15-7, placing them second in the Western Conference, 1.5 games behind the Oklahoma City Thunder, and fourth overall in the NBA.

This season, Sengun has been averaging 19.0 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game, while Eason has contributed with averages of 11.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per contest for the Rockets.
