NBA round-up: Pacers snap the Mavericks' seven-game winning streak

Myles Turner recorded an impressive 33 points, his highest of the season, and secured eight rebounds, playing a pivotal role in guiding the Indiana Pacers to a commanding 133-111 victory against the Dallas Mavericks, who were visiting on Sunday.

Tyrese Haliburton had a strong performance for the Indiana Pacers, contributing 17 points and 10 assists in their third consecutive win.

Andrew Nembhard and Ben Sheppard each scored 15 points for the Pacers, while Bennedict Mathurin recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Pascal Siakam and T.J. McConnell also made significant contributions with 12 points each. Luka Doncic led the scoring for Dallas with 33 points, followed by Kyrie Irving with 29 points. Despite their efforts, the Mavericks' seven-game winning streak came to an end.

Josh Green added 14 points for Dallas, while Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 11 points off the bench. Irving made a strong push in the fourth quarter, scoring the first nine points for Dallas and reducing the deficit to just four points.

However, the Pacers responded with a 20-4 run, ultimately securing a 124-104 victory with Tyrese Haliburton's layup. In another game, the Denver Nuggets defeated the Golden State Warriors 119-103, extending their winning streak against them to seven games.

Nikola Jokic continued his impressive form with a triple-double, setting an NBA record with his third consecutive game of at least 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Jokic finished the game with 32 points, 16 rebounds, and 16 assists. Jamal Murray also had a strong performance, contributing 27 points to the Nuggets' victory. Aaron Gordon provided valuable support with 17 points, six rebounds, and three steals.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope played excellent defense against Stephen Curry, limiting him to 20 points and just 1 of 10 on 3-point attempts. Despite Klay Thompson's strong first-half performance with 23 points, including five 3-pointers, he failed to score in the second half.

The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Philadelphia 76ers with a score of 119-98. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with 30 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists. Damian Lillard contributed 24 points and nine assists, while Malik Beasley, Bobby Portis, and Brook Lopez also made significant contributions to the win.

On the other hand, Tyrese Maxey was the top scorer for the Sixers with 24 points. De'Anthony Melton, Paul Reed, Kelly Oubre Jr., and Buddy Hield also had notable performances in the game.

In another game, the Oklahoma City Thunder emerged victorious against the Houston Rockets with a score of 123-110. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the top scorer with 36 points, while Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren combined for 51 points to secure the win for the Thunder.

Jabari Smith Jr. and Fred VanVleet led the scoring for the Rockets, with Smith also grabbing a game-high 17 rebounds. Alperen Sengun also had a double-double for Houston.

Phoenix Suns defeated the Los Angeles Lakers with a final score of 123-113. Grayson Allen and Royce O'Neale played a crucial role in Phoenix's victory, contributing to 12 of the team's 17 made 3-pointers. In the fourth quarter, Allen and O'Neale hit three consecutive 3-pointers, helping the Suns maintain their lead against the Lakers.

With three minutes remaining, the Lakers closed the gap to 110-104, but Allen and O'Neale responded with back-to-back 3-pointers, extending the Suns' lead.

O'Neale added one more 3-pointer with 1:24 left on the clock, securing a 13-point lead for Phoenix and effectively sealing the game.

All five starters for the Suns scored at least 18 points, with Allen leading the team with 24 points.

On the Lakers' side, LeBron James and Anthony Davis both recorded double-doubles, with James scoring a game-high 28 points and dishing out 12 assists, while Davis contributed 22 points and 14 rebounds.

Dejounte Murray and Jalen Johnson both achieved double-doubles, igniting Atlanta's triumph over Orlando on their home court and putting an end to their three-game losing streak.

Murray showcased his skills with an impressive 25 points, sinking 11 of his 20 field goal attempts, including two 3-pointers. Additionally, he contributed 11 assists and came close to a triple-double with nine rebounds. Johnson also made a significant impact, delivering 21 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists.

On the opposing side, Franz Wagner led the scoring for Orlando with 19 points and eight rebounds, while Wendell Carter Jr. contributed 18 points and 10 rebounds.

It's worth noting that both teams were missing their top scorers. Orlando had to play without Paolo Banchero due to illness, while Atlanta had to cope without Trae Young, who will be sidelined for a minimum of four weeks due to a finger injury.
Cleveland staged an impressive comeback against Washington, securing a 114-105 victory. Jarrett Allen played a pivotal role, contributing 22 points and 12 rebounds.

Evan Mobley also had a strong performance, scoring 21 points for the Cavaliers. Caris LeVert showcased his versatility with 18 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists.

Donovan Mitchell made a successful return after missing two games due to illness, scoring 16 points. Despite Jordan Poole's impressive 31-point performance off the bench for the Wizards, it wasn't enough to secure a win.

Kyle Kuzma added 27 points to Washington's efforts. Unfortunately, the Wizards suffered their 11th consecutive loss, surrendering a six-point lead in the fourth quarter.

Bilal Coulibaly's departure due to a hard fall further compounded their challenges, as they were already missing Deni Avdija and Corey Kispert. The Cavaliers completed a four-game season series sweep against the Wizards.
