Newcastle 3-0 Fulham: Lewis Miley scores first goal for Magpies as they ease past 10-man Fulham

Newcastle United got back on track with three second-half goals against 10-man Fulham on Saturday, including one from 17-year-old Lewis Miley, who became the club's youngest Premier League scorer.
Fulham's Raul Jimenez was sent off in the 22nd minute, and while they kept the home side at bay until halftime, Miley's goal opened the floodgates, with Miguel Almiron and Dan Burn also scoring.
The win lifts Newcastle, who had lost their previous three games in all competitions and were eliminated from European competition, to sixth place with 29 points, while Fulham drops to 11th, eight points behind.
Jimenez had four goals in his previous five games and was so confident that he attempted a bicycle kick from 20 yards out, but his red card for a display of petulance gave Newcastle the advantage.
After being cautioned for an aerial lunge on Sean Longstaff after hitting the Newcastle midfielder in the face with his hip while attempting to block a pass, Jimenez was sent off after a VAR review.
Newcastle suffered injuries to Fabian Schar and Joelinton in the first half, but the man advantage allowed them to dominate possession.
Fulham weathered the storm and nearly 10 minutes of added time to go into the halftime break tied at 0-0.
However, as the volume increased at St James' Park, Fulham's resistance was broken when Bruno Guimaraes drove into the box and skipped past four challenges to set up Miley for the opener.
Newcastle extended their lead when Anthony Gordon slipped the ball through for Callum Wilson, and although the striker was unable to capitalize due to defensive pressure, Miguel Almiron arrived amid the confusion to fire it home.
Fulham were in trouble, but Bruno was not finished, and he found Dan Burn at the far post for Newcastle's third goal. The ball went in off the defender's knee after Fulham keeper Bernd Leno saved his initial header.
