Newcastle United 1-4 Bournemouth: Justin Kluivert's hat-trick sees Cherries end Magpies' winning run

Bournemouth midfielder Justin Kluivert netted a stunning hat-trick to lead his team to a 4-1 away victory over Newcastle United, his father Patrick's former club, in Saturday's early Premier League match. This result ended Newcastle's six-match winning streak in the league.
With this victory, Bournemouth climbs to sixth in the Premier League standings with 37 points, behind fifth-placed Chelsea on goal difference, while Newcastle remains in fourth place with 38 points.
Bournemouth wasted no time as they threatened in the fourth minute, with Martin Dubravka saving a shot from Dango Outtara. However, the goalkeeper had no answer just two minutes later when Kluivert gave Bournemouth the lead. A high-pressing game from the visitors caused problems for Newcastle, and when they won the ball high up the pitch, Antoine Semenyo set up Kluivert, who calmly slotted the ball past Dubravka.
Newcastle fought back, with captain Bruno Guimaraes scoring in the 25th minute. Guimaraes created space around the penalty spot before heading home Lewis Hall's corner to level the match.
But Kluivert was not done. He put Bournemouth back in front before halftime and continued to cause problems for the hosts in the second half, while keeping Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, who had scored in his last eight Premier League appearances, quiet.
Bournemouth thought they had made it 3-1 in the 61st minute when Outtara finished from close range, but the goal was ruled out for a previous off-the-ball incident. However, Kluivert sealed his hat-trick in second-half stoppage time with a brilliant curling shot into the top corner.
Milos Kerkez then completed the rout with a powerful strike, ensuring a 4-1 win for Bournemouth and extending their unbeaten streak in the league to 10 matches.
Kluivert reflected on the win, saying, "Our run is also beautiful, you know? And that's what we showed today, that we're here to make an impression, Bournemouth. So yeah, a lovely, lovely win today."
Looking ahead, Kluivert expressed his ambitions for the team, saying, "I'm an ambitious person, we've got a lot of ambitious players in the team... we want to play Europe, we want to be the best that we can. And I think we show that also, so why not? Why not dream big? And let's see where we can end up."
