NFL roundup: Josh Allen leads Bills in dominant win over 49ers

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen enjoyed a snowy spectacle as his team delivered an offensive onslaught, defeating the San Francisco 49ers 35-10 in the NFL on Sunday.

In a remarkable achievement, Allen became the first quarterback in league history to throw, catch, and rush for a touchdown in the same game, as reported by NFL.com.

The highlight of the match occurred in the third quarter when Allen executed a short pass to Amari Cooper, who then returned the ball to him. Allen caught the pass and dashed into the end zone, extending the lead to 28-3.

"I threw a poor pass. I was concerned it might be tipped and intercepted, so I was just pursuing it," Allen remarked.

"I made eye contact with Coop. He’s an experienced player. He saw me, I extended my hands, he tossed it back, and I had to make a play," he added, also mentioning the significance of the play for fantasy football, as he received credit for both a touchdown pass and a catch.

Earlier in the game, James Cook had executed a spectacular yet conventional touchdown, sprinting 65 yards across the snow-laden field midway through the second quarter to bring the score to 14-3.

Allen subsequently connected with Mack Hollins on a seven-yard pass and capped off the scoring with an eight-yard rushing touchdown, leading the impressive Bills to a 10-2 record, securing the AFC East division title and a playoff spot.

Meanwhile, Pittsburgh quarterback Russell Wilson continued his resurgence, throwing for 414 yards and three touchdowns as the Steelers triumphed 44-38 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Wilson, a Super Bowl champion with Seattle in 2014, was released by Denver last year and subsequently signed a one-year veteran minimum contract with the Steelers. Having secured the starting position in Pittsburgh over Justin Fields, the veteran is driving the team’s strong playoff aspirations.

Wilson's 25-yard touchdown pass to Pat Freiermuth at the end of the third quarter showcased his enduring talent, as he skillfully scrambled out of the pocket to deliver a precise pass on the run.

The score established a 34-24 advantage for the Steelers as they entered the fourth quarter, and a 21-yard fumble recovery by Payton Wilson solidified their dominance in the game.

Despite Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow throwing two touchdowns in the final quarter, interspersed with a 30-yard field goal by Chris Boswell for the Steelers, the Steelers managed to secure a vital victory against their divisional opponents.

Currently, the Steelers lead the AFC North with a record of 9-3, while the Baltimore Ravens follow closely with an 8-4 record.

In the matchup between the Vikings and the Cardinals, Sam Darnold delivered a game-winning touchdown in the closing minutes, enabling the Minnesota Vikings to overcome the Arizona Cardinals 23-22, marking their fifth consecutive victory.

The Vikings hold a season record of 10-2, yet they find themselves in second place in the fiercely contested NFC North, where the Detroit Lions lead with an impressive 11-1 record, and the Green Bay Packers stand at 9-3.

Trailing 22-16 with just 1:13 remaining, Darnold connected with Aaron Jones, who sprinted into the end zone for a 5-yard touchdown, marking the first time the Vikings took the lead in the game. Darnold finished with 235 passing yards and two touchdowns.

In other league news, Geno Smith returned to challenge the New York Jets, guiding the Seahawks to a 26-21 victory, capped off by an 8-yard rushing touchdown from Zach Charbonnet in the fourth quarter.

The previous Jets quarterback recorded 206 passing yards and one touchdown, while his counterpart, Aaron Rodgers, achieved 185 passing yards and two touchdowns.

Jayden Daniels accounted for three touchdown passes and added another rushing touchdown as the Washington Commanders decisively defeated the Tennessee Titans with a score of 42-19.

The Los Angeles Chargers (8-4) dealt the Atlanta Falcons their third consecutive defeat, winning 17-13, during which Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins was intercepted four times.

The Indianapolis Colts triumphed over the New England Patriots with a narrow score of 25-24, thanks to Anthony Richardson's three-yard touchdown pass to Alec Pierce with just 12 seconds remaining, followed by Richardson successfully executing a two-point conversion to secure the victory.
