Despite trailing 5-3 going into the third period, Colorado staged a remarkable comeback. MacKinnon then sealed the rally with a breakaway goal at 15:30, marking his 12th goal of the season.

Prior to that, John Tavares, who previously played for the Islanders, reached a significant milestone by collecting his 1,000th career point with an assist on Morgan Rielly's goal in the final seconds of regulation. Ilya Sorokin made 37 saves for New York, while Toronto's Ilya Samsonov recorded 25 saves.
Lastly, the Sabres secured a 5-2 victory over the Coyotes, with Eric Robinson and Kyle Okposo leading the way with a goal and two assists each. Buffalo's goalie, Devon Levi, made 21 saves to help his team improve to 2-0-1 in their last three games. Rasmus Dahlin contributed with a goal and an assist, while Connor Clifton provided two assists. Peyton Krebs and JJ Peterka also scored for the Sabres. Michael Kesselring and Michael Carcone scored for the Coyotes, but it wasn't enough to end their three-game losing streak. Arizona's goalie, Karel Vejmelka, made 33 saves in the game.
Dallas triumphed over Detroit with a final score of 6-3, thanks to an outstanding performance by Miro Heiskanen. Heiskanen showcased his skills by scoring two goals and providing an assist for his team. Additionally, Jason Robertson and Esa Lindell contributed with a goal and an assist each. Roope Hintz and Sam Steel played a crucial role by assisting in two goals each. Jake Oettinger, the Stars' goaltender, made an impressive 27 saves to secure the victory. Despite losing three out of their last four games, the Stars managed to bounce back and claim this important win.
On the other side, the Red Wings fought hard but fell short. Daniel Sprong, Jonatan Berggren, and Joe Veleno managed to find the back of the net for Detroit. Shayne Gostisbehere provided valuable support with two assists, while James Reimer made 29 saves in goal. Unfortunately, the Red Wings faced challenges due to injuries and a suspension to David Perron, resulting in the absence of four forwards. Nonetheless, they displayed resilience and determination throughout the game.
