Additionally, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins contributed significantly to the team's success with two goals and an assist.
McDavid's career saw its second six-point game, bringing his total career assists to 603. He achieved the milestone of 600 assists in the fourth-fewest games in NHL history, reaching it in just 616 games. Only Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, and Bobby Orr accomplished this feat quicker, with Gretzky leading the pack at 416 games.
In the game between Edmonton and Detroit, Evan Bouchard contributed a goal and two assists, while Cody Ceci and Leon Draisaitl each had a goal and an assist.
